Dixie Canyon Community Charter School is proud to congratulate Assistant Principal Maria Silva on her selection as the next Principal of Bertrand Avenue Elementary School.
During her two years at Dixie Canyon, Ms. Silva helped strengthen our Parent Center, expand support for English Learners and multilingual families, and improve many of the operational systems that support our students, staff, and families each day. She was also recognized as an LAUSD Assistant Principal of the Year finalist. During her time at Dixie Canyon, our students earned LAUSD bilingual recognition, and our school earned Gold recognition for English Learner Progress (ELPI).
We are grateful for Ms. Silva's leadership, dedication, and service to the Dixie Canyon community and wish her every success in this exciting new role.
